În sfârşit am ajuns în Paşcani. Am fost fericit că după o călătorie atât de lungă am putut să ajung în sfârşit. Prima mea impresie după ce am ajuns la Gipsy Eye mi-a plăcut primirea călduroasă şi oamenii drăguţi şi plini de veselie pe care i-am întâlnit la asociaţie şi am petrecut următoarele zile cunoscând puţin câte puţin activităţile şi proiectele făcute de asociaţie în Paşcani, Cozmeşti, Sodomeni şi Iaşi.

Hai să vă spun câte ceva despre mine: sunt o persoană libertină şi open minded, un pic cam mult câteodată şi sunt foarte norocos, deoarece am avut rara posibilitate de a mă naşte şi de a creşte în Veneţia, Italia. Singurul oraş din lume în care nu se găsesc maşini. Am avut şanse pe care nimeni în lumea asta nu le-ar putea avea: am mers la şcoală având cei mai buni profesori, am studiat muzica, am învăţat să cânt la chitară, imi place să fiu în formă si sunt interesat de multe culturi, de artă şi de muzică; îmi place natura (Încerc să am un stil de viaţă care să respecte natura) ăsta a fost unul din motivele pentru care am venit cu bicicleta în România! Iubesc muntele, pădurile, câmpia şi marea, însă cu toate astea îmi place şi mediul urban, oraşele şi suburbiile unde am petrecut o mare parte din viaţa mea. Am avut norocul să locuiesc în mai multe oraşe prin ajutorul unor programe cu schimburi de tineri în timpul universităţii: Seville, Spania, Limă, Peru, Wien, Austria, Ferrara, Italia unde am început şi mi-am şi terminat şi am diplomă în drept. În Cluj – Napoca şi în Transilvania am ajuns pentru prima dată într-o mică vacanţă de Anul Nou între 2011- 2012 şi m-am îndrăgostit de această ţară frumoasă de pădurile ei verzi de dealuri şi râuri şi uite aşa am rămas 6 luni.

Îmi place să călătoresc să descopăr alte culturi şi alte stiluri de viaţă, să traversez teritorii şi sa las priveliştile planetei noastre minunate să curgă lin în faţa mea. Orizonturile care curg în paralel cu timpul care curge împreună cu tehnologia realizate de umanitate au construit sate şi oraşe, au inventat limbi şi au creat muzica. Acestea ar fi calitatile mele, dar cred ca ar trebui să spun şi  faptul ca personalitatea mea are multe defecte: pe lângă alte lucruri eu sunt uneori distras şi poate impulsiv, câteodată acţionez fără să gândesc şi astfel de iniţiative duc uneori la probleme.

Ce mă adus pe mine în Paşcani?
În principiu am vrut să încerc experienţa de a face voluntariat, înainte să ating pragul de 30 de ani. După o perioadă în care căutăm pe SEV (Serviciul European de Voluntariat) un proiect care doreşte să ia o persoană ca mine să faca voluntariat, iar invitaţia de la Gipsy Eye a fost cea mai bună ocazie ca să încerc.

Dar, de ce nu mai bine încep cu călătoria care mi-a adus multe peripeţii amuzante?
După mulţi ani în care am studiat dreptul şi am făcut cercetări pe subiecte şi teme precum: drepturile omului, istoria colonizării şi a neo-colonizarii, globalizarea, problemele mediului şi dezvoltarea continuă, am înţeles ceva: Că vreau să fiu un hippiot, aşadar am început să caut locuri ci comunităţi de oameni care locuiesc în moduri diferite de ale noastre. “Fii hippiot şi fii fericit”. Sunt conştient de atât de multe conflicte ce ţin atât de mediu cât şi de societate, conflicte care au loc în lumea, oameni care au cunoştinţe despre modul în care evoluăm şi de exemplu: ne luptăm împotriva proiectelor mari şi mici pe care firmele internaţional le propun şi care încearcă să exploateze resursele natural cu scopul de a viola drepturile omului. Aici în România ei se luptă împotriva companiei canadiene Gabriel Resources care vrea să exploateze aurul sin Roşia Montana şi sa polueze cu cianură, ce v-a duce mai apoi la distrugerea unei mari părţi din moştenirea culturala. Sunt conştient de conexiunea dintre această problema şi problema discriminării cu care Gipsy Eye se luptă. Problema lipsei de resurse, este cea mai mare problemă a lumii, cu care comunitatea internaţionala se confruntă, prin organizaţii şi prin sistemul internaţional de drepturi umane, problema precum sărăcia şi războiul din Africa, care implementează mişcarea maselor de oameni peste barierele Europei, unde imigranţi sunt discriminaţi, în acelaşi fel ca rromi, care acum multe secole au ajuns în estul şi vestul Europei.

Aşadar aceste crezuri ale mele m-au făcut să pornesc în această călătorie şi sa încep această experienţă de voluntariat. Activez aici în Paşcani, iar aceste crezuri ale mele sunt împărtăşite de mulţi oameni din lumea asta care schimba societatea într-o directiva care va aduce armonie între natura şi viaţa urbană. O mişcare hippiota propusa şi încercata în ani ’60 şi multe comunităţi încercând să preia stilul de viaţa al hippiotilor aplicat în sate – eco şi în multe părţi ale lumii care au încercat să conserve stilul de viară rural, cum ar fi: zona Transilvaniei şi Moldovei şi cum o parte din rromi trăiesc în România şi în sfârşit cum indigeni trăiau în America Latină şi alte populaţiile din alte părţi ale lumii de exemplu descendenţii Maiaşilor, Azteci, Incaşi, populaţia din Pădurea Amazoniana şi din Munţii Adean, care au putut să  menţină cultura şi limba exact cum erau şi modul în care ei erau conectaţi spiritual la Mama Natură.

Finally I arrived to Pascani, I was so happy arriving after a long travel..My first impression after arriving at Gipsy Eye home was the nice welcome I receive and I found nice and joyful people at the association and I have been spending the following days knowing gradually the activities and projects held by them in Pascani, Cozmesti, Sodomeni and Iasi!

 Let’s say something about me: I am an open minded-maybe to much sometimes, very lucky because I had the rare possibility to be born and grow up in Venice, Italy, The only city in the world without cars and I had chances that not anybody in this world could have: to attend school with very good teachers, learn music, play guitar, practice and be keen on sports, Interested in any form of culture, art and music and I love nature ( And I am trying to practice a respectful way of living, toward it and that was one of the reasons I came in Romania by bike! I love mountains, woods, countryside and the sea as well, but I also love the urban environment, cities and suburbs, where I spent most of my life. I had the luck to live in many cities, through some exchange program during the university studies: Seville, Spain, Lima, Peru, Wien, Austria, and Ferrara, Italy, where I begin and finalize my degree in law. In Cluj Napoca, Transylvania I arrived for the first time for a little holiday during the snowy New Year Eve between  2011-2012 and I have fallen in love with the beautiful country and the green wood, hills, rivers and so I remained more than six months.

I love travelling and to discover other cultures and ways of living, crossing territories and letting landscapes of our beautiful planet flow in front of us. Horizons made  by the relentless flowing along with the time of the Earth, but also the technologies of humanity, which built villages and cities, invented language and music.  Taking in consideration the good aspects I have to say that my personality has many defects: between other things I am distracted and impulsive and sometimes I act without thinking, and those things sometimes cause troubles.

What brought me here in Pascani?

Essentially I wanted to try an experience of volunteering, before passing the age of 30: After  a while that I was looking for EVS ( European  voluntary service ) a project  willing to take person as myself as a volunteer and getting the invitation by Gipsy Eye was the perfect occasion to do it.

But why not start the great travel that brought me many adventures?

After many years of law studies and research on topics such as human rights, history of colonization and neo-colonization, globalization, environmental issues and sustainable development, I have understood something: That I what to be a hippy, and so I started to search for a place and for communities of people who live in an alternative way than ours consumerist and individualist society, be “hippy to be happy”.  Conscious of the many socio – environmental conflict are happening in the world, people who have knowledge about the unsustainability of our model of development and for example: fighting against big and small project of transnational enterprises who intend to exploit natural resources at the cost of violating  human rights and  perforate this wrong model of development. Here in Romania they struggle against Gabriel Resources a Canadian company project that wants to exploit gold in Rosia Montana polluting with Cyanide and carrying on the destruction of the important part of cultural heritage. I am conscious that the connection between this issue and the issue of discrimination which Gipsy Eye in carrying: The problem with the lack of resources, that represent the biggest problem in the world, which  international community is facing, through the organization within the United National and international System of human rights , such as poverty and wars in Africa, which imply the move of big masses  of people over the borders of Europe, where immigrants are discriminated, as discriminated as the gipsy are, who through a  diasporas of centuries arrived in the east and western Europe .

So this believes of mine made me do this travel and to this experience of volunteering .I am carrying on here in Pascani, and these beliefs of mine that are shared by many people in this world , that are changing society in a direction that could bring a major harmony with nature and more communitarian life style, as a hippy movement proposed and tried since the ’60 and lots of communities  try to propose in eco – villages in many places and in many part on the world was still conserved in a good and suitable way of life , for example in the rural region  of Transylvania and Moldova and as some gipsy’s still live in Romania and finally as many indigenous people in Latin America  and other parts of the world, for example  the descendents  of the Mayas, Aztecs and Incas and other population of the Amazonia Forest and Andean  Mountains who could be able to maintain their culture, language and the way they were spiritually connected with the mother earth.
