Noi cei de la Gipsy Eye credem în voluntariat şi diversitate. Astfel că am răspuns prezent la invitaţia asociaţiei studenţilor chimişti de participa la G Fest.. Ne-am bucurat nespus că sâmbătă, (14.09.2013) să ne regăsim cu toţii în Casa de Cultură a studenţilor din Iaşi. Aproximativ 15 voluntari au fost mobilizaţi. Pe lângă aceştia au venit cu noi şi o echipă de filmare franco românească care fac un film despre Dragoş, vicepreşedintele nostru.

Standul plin de veselie şi căldura i-a primiţi pe toţi care au vrut să înveţe despre viaţă şi cultura romilor, despre munca voluntarilor romi şi romani.

Am făcut „noduri” între romani, romi şi francezi!
A fost o şansă pentru mesagerii împotriva discriminării să pună în practică ce au învăţat: să promoveze mesajul împotriva discriminării. Am fost bucuroşi să le prezentăm şi activitatea de la Cosmeşti şi mulţi tineri ne-au felicitat pentru clubul inimi pentru inimi şi chiar şi-au propus ajutorul.

Astfel ca tineri noştri pe lângă activitatea de la stand au legat prietenii şi au mers în vizită şi la ceilalţi participanţi la eveniment.

Şi uite aşa am învăţat să facem noduri, să facem cutiuţe, să ne jucăm la clubul de teatru, să cântăm două acorduri la chitară, cum să vorbim în public şi cum să ne protejăm de diferite boli.

G Fest nu putea începe fără ca trupă de dans să fie prezentă. Timp de mai multe reprize dansatorii noştri au arătat celor prezenţi câteva din secretele dansului tradiţional.

„A fost un bun prilej pentru noi să fim alături de alţi tineri şi să ne bucurăm împreună indiferent de culoare sau etnie. Ne-a plăcut să aducem oamenilor un zâmbet şi puţină mişcare.” ne-a precizat Dragoş, vicepreşedintele asociaţiei.
Reprezentanta ţiganilor:

Ca să înţelegeţi şi voi ce înseamnă să fii mesager împotriva ţiganilor o să vă povestesc o întâmplare care măsoară ce se întâmplă în inimile unor dintre cei prezenţi…

Văzându-mă românca cu tricou de la Gipsy Eye, un tip cu ecuson de organizator m-a întrebat aşa că în bătaie de joc: “ce tu eşti reprezentanta ţiganilor?”… ca şi cum mi-ar fi zis nu ai altceva mai bun de făcut… Îmi pare rău şi acum că nu am putut să-l întreb, dar o să o fac acum… dar tu eşti reprezentantul frustraţilor?:)

Şi da domnule organizator sunt reprezentanta ţiganilor, ce îmi inspira un ţigan fără mâini, acelaşi lucru pe care mi l-ar inspiră şi un roman fără mâini, putere… puterea de a merge mai departe şi a înfrunta cu capul sus toate celelalte greutăţi. Pentru că avem acelaşi drepturi şi aceleaşi obligaţii, limitele tale din gândire nu sunt şi ale mele. Eu văd dincolo de răutăţi.

Gfest…the celebration of the association with G from Gfest!

We, the ones from Gipsy Eye believe in volunteering and diversity. So we respond to the invitation of Students Chemistry Association, to go at Gfest… We were really happy that on Saturday,(14.09.2013) we found each other  in The  Cultural House of Students from Iasi. Almost 15 volunteers were where joining us .Beside those a franco-romanian filming team went with us, they are the ones that make a movie about our vice-president Dragos.

Our stand was full of cheerful and we gladly welcome all the people that wanted to learn about the life and roma culture, and about our roma and romanian volunteers.

We made “nods” between Romanian, roma and france people!

It was an opportunity for our messengers against discrimination to put in practice what they had learned, to promote the message against discrimination. We were happy that we could present the actions we make in Cozmesti and lots of teenagers wanted to give their help at “Heart to heart” club.

Beside the fact that our teenagers stayed at the stand, they tied up new friendships and they went and visit the other participants that were at the event.

And so we learned to make nods, boxes, to play in the theater club, to sing notes on the guitar, how to talk in public and how to protect ourselves from different diseases.

Gfest could not start without Gipsy Eye’s dance crew. For a few times our dancers showed some of the roma secrets of traditional dance.

“It was a good opportunity for us to be beside our teenagers and to enjoy the festival no matter color and gender. We liked that we could bring smiles to peoples face and a little exercises”, Affirmation made by our vice –president Dragos.

So that you can understand what it means to be massagers against gypsies, I will tell you a story that can show what happens in the hearts of the ones that were there…

Seeing me as a Romanian one and wearing a  T-shirt from Gipsy Eye association, a guy with a  organization tag  asked me at, in a joking way: what are you a  representant of the gypsies…  speaking in a way that..Was almost like he had nothing better to do…I am sorry that I could not ask him then but I do it know…But who are you the representant of the ones that are frustrated?

And yes mister organizer I am a representing of  gypsies, what a gipsy without hands inspire me , the same thing that a Romanian without hands would inspire me, strength…strength to go one and to face with his head up all the problems. Because we all have the same rights and the same obligations, your limits born from genders are not mine. I can see beyond bad words.
