Premier jour de la semaine qui a commencé studieusement pour Madiane et moi qui avons dû planché sur notre dossier de subventions pour accueillir des camarades SVE cet été. Tandis que Pascal se frottait courageusement aux jeunes sans notre aide, au moins pour la moitié de la matinée. Notre dossier est maintenant finalisé et -presque-prêt à être soumis, ce qui nous apporte répit et satisfaction!

La matinée à l’école de Cozmesti s’est déroulée de manière habituelle, avec un afflux conséquent d’élèves de la classe 3 en début de matinée, ravis de nous apprendre que leur professeur était parti à Pascani et que leur cours était annulé! Pascal et Stéfana se sont tout de même dévoués pour assurer un petit cours de mathématiques à la sauce roumaine car apparemment, selon les enfants, en France nous avons des maths différentes. Quelle imagination…

Pascal a par la suite initié la décoration de collines pour notre maquette écolo -oui elle est toujours debout et n’a pas encore été détruite par des hordes d’enfants avides de prăjituri (de gâteaux)-. L’activité a plus ou moins séduit les foules, la plupart ayant préféré jouer et se défouler d’une autre manière.

Nous avons ensuite enchaîné sur une après-midi au Colegiul Unirea, où nous avons de nouveau passé du temps avec les élèves de classe de français. Nous avons séparé les élèves en petits groupes pour que Madiane, Pascal et moi puissions chacun discuter avec eux de sujets au choix. Le plan pour les prochaines semaines, que nous avons organisé avec notre mentor Mihaela, est de venir différents jours de la semaine pour pouvoir rencontrer d’autres classes et d’autres élèves, et qu’il puisse tous profiter de l’occasion pour pratiquer leur français et surtout braver leur timidité!!

This week started in a very studious manner for Madiane and I. Indeed  we had to finish write our EU grant form in order to welcome EVS comrades during the summer. While Pascal were facing the youngsters without our help, at least for one half of the session. Our form is now filled in and -almost- ready to be submitted to the European Union, and that brings us a lot of relaxation and satisfaction at the same time!

The morning at Cozmesti school went normally, with a substantial flood of pupils from class 3, delighted to tell us their teacher had just left to Pascani and that their lesson was cancelled! Pascal and Stéfana still devoted themselves to conduct a maths class, the romanian way though, because according to some of the children french maths are a different subject. How imaginative…

Pascal then initiated the decoration of the hills for our ecological model -yes it is still standing and it has not yet been destroyed by a horde children hungry for prăjituri (cakes)-. The activity was an underwhelming succes, indeed most of the youngsters prefered playing and letting off steam with another mean: toys.

In the afternoon we carried on at Colegiul Unirea, where we spent more time with pupils from french class. We put theem into small groups so that Madiane, Pascal and I could discuss with them various topics they submitted. Our mentor Mihaela and us have decided to organize our next visits at the school as following: we’ll come on different days so that we can meet other groups and new pupils that we haven’t met yet, in order for everyone to be able to practice their french skills and above all so that they can overcome their shyness!!

Well-earned rest tonight…  Pa pa!
